The law is what those who can bring the most violence required to force compliance with their interpretation of it is.

This has and always will been the real way laws work, so what remains to be seen is how far the Federal Government is willing to go to undo what Texas is doing, and how Texas will respond in kind.

To: SecondAmendment; All

When the Republic of Texas, a sovereign country, agreed to join the USA, the new State retained ownership of its lands.

Some land has been given to the Federal govt. for military bases and parks.

The border lands in TX are mostly privately owned and are not Federal lands. That fact is why the Trump border wall system has taken a long time to get going in TX, as it involved negotiating with property owners on a price for portions of their land.

I think Abbott said the illegals would be convicted of trespassing + any other crimes they commit and will be put behind bars. ...That’s not doing the Feds’ job.

“This has and always will been the real way laws work,...”

Change been to be and put a period after work and this becomes truth for the ages. It made me stop and realize that even though I had never thought of it that way I knew it to be true.
