Not sure why author felt the need to add this genuflection to "the narrative." The latest "guilty" plea was to a non-violent charge.
Have any of them actually been charged or are they being held without formal charges? My guess would be that prosecutors filed all sorts of charges, knowing that none of them would stick, but would justify holding people.
