could be an inside job

Doubtful. These types of robberies are growing more common and brazen. At a Rolex store in an upscale Atlanta shopping mall, a group of thieves walked in with hammers, smashed the display cases, and grabbed watches by the fistful while security was powerless to stop them. All they could do was bear witness. The laws protect these people.

There’s a Louis Vuitton store 2 miles from me.

I would think they would have doors that slam shut and the thieves can’t get out...

A door slams shut and crushes a thief, the store will be sued into bankruptcy.

The suspects’ vehicles were described as a gray Lexus sedan, a gray Infinity SUV, a white Audi sedan...

Crime *does* pay.

The suspects caused no injuries, and no weapons were used during the alleged theft, authorities added.

... “alleged” theft ...? Is anyone arguing that there was no theft?

Sounds like a pretty slick operation.

First of all, I'll bet they took a lot more than $100K in merch.

They sent in guys who had already scoped out the store, knew exactly which bags and other merch to get. They knew exactly how much time they had...there might have even been some false calls to 911 to send the cops to other bogus crimes or otherwise tie them up.

The criminals knew how long the cops would take and probably the route they would take.

Probably already had a fence arranged who took the goods immediately.

Might have even been a payoff to a dispatcher to slow the response time down.

First thing the detective needs to look at is the last few months' sales reports at the store. If sales are lagging badly, it might have been an inside job for the insurance money.

Book 'em Dano!

Thieves aren’t unaware of the hard work. They just don’t want to do any.

What we see now are just appetizers of what the future will bring.

Eventually we're going to get Latin American-styled vigilante justice. When the cops stop doing their job, the angry mob will take over and do it for them.

The "Defund the Police" crowd often forgets that one important service the cops provide is to protect the criminals from their victims, a quid pro quo of civilized society. You, the police, will arrest this man who hurt me and I, the victim, will refrain from killing him. When this compact breaks down, there's going to be a different type of justice that increasingly gets meted out.

"So they grabbed, what, two of them?"

Or given the actual value; cost of materials and labor, 10,000 of them

While in prison they make diagrams and explain to younger cons how to pull off crimes.

Then they take advantage of what the civilized people do and set up “teens break windows of jewelry store display” or “teens terrify shoppers at mall as others load vans with stolen high end merchandise.” “While teens made a disturbance and knocked over clothes racks to make a distraction, other teens loaded up expensive items and went out the back.” That’s in past stories for a long time.

No arrests-—almost forgot.

So, Dems, this is your anarchy and crime prone America. OI hate you for what you did but can’t do anything right now.

One would think high end stores like that would have better security

No offense to you but I think if perpetrators are black they can't be detained due to black privilege or it's "racist." Security cannot look like they are holding unruly black criminals. The store can be sued.

If actual police or deputies arrive, they are the ones who can be sued later. Those stories of wild "teens" terrifying shoppers at a mall end with "no arrests were made."

This is an open air mall on the corner of the Stanford campus, an otherwise very high end and seemingly safe area.

This is a liberal academic mecca, with Zuckerberg, a bunch of liberal profs and venture capitalists living nearby. Maybe they’ll eventually figure out the wrongs in their ways.

California is going to shit fast.

The bags are so overpriced, but libtards them. Really value: About $2,500.

You would think. I don’t feel bad for the store. The profit on those bags would more then cover 20 security guards and high tech security system.

That was my first thought. You pay for the name, so they thieves really got about $50 worth of leather, fabric and metal clasps, but can’t steal the brand which is 99% of what’s people pay for an those stores.
