A company representative said about 98.5% of the millions of rounds of ammo stolen earlier this week were .22 caliber, which is seldom used by Mexican drug cartels.

The .22 rounds are used mainly in rifles for target practice or extremely small game. Mexican cartels prefer larger, high-velocity ammunition for AK-47 and AR-15 rifles or 9 mm weapons.

Drivers unhurt would make them the #1 suspects.

The other 2% of 7 million is 140,000 rounds which could be 2.23, 5.56 or 7.62 among other calibers Aguila makes.

from what i have read, .22 is the preferred SHTF survival caliber.

you can use it for self defense when the occasion arises, but more often for small game while not attracting the unwanted attention of local zombies.

(btw where can one easily get .380? for use as barter. asking for a friend who prefers to stay off the grid.)

โ€œThese will be of no use to them, given that they donโ€™t use these weapons,โ€ said security analyst Juan Ibarrola, who also acts as spokesman for the Tecnos Industries company”

Yes, easily sellable merchandise has no use whatsoever to a criminal cartel.

Time to fire his ass.

Key word: fungible.

Or he’s going to get a kick back.

Aquila. 22 is one of the most dependable brands for small semi-auto .22 pocket piece pistols. It cycles well without jamming . It works way better in small pistols that the .22 hot rounds that .22 rifles take. So, if it starts turning up , stock up .
