It once was a beautiful town
It now allows ( even though it was recently voted out) homeless to pitch tents and live all over town.
It’s nasty now
Yep, voted out in early May. So far, Austin city council refuses to bring the subject up for discussion. Probably hoping for some judge to throw out the will of the voters once again.
Sad. I went to college there and worked there for a while. It was a nice town. I haven’t been back there in 15 years. I sure do miss the BBQ.
Homeless camping was not voted out in Austin.
Gov. Abbott signed a bill making it illegal, afaik.
It now allows ( even though it was recently voted out) homeless to pitch tents and live all over town.

I was there 5+ years ago and was appalled by the number of homeless. I can only imagine what it’s like now.
The commie librats did the same thing in Denver and Boulder.
It really was. I’m old enough to remember it in the early 80s when there was just one Kerbey Lane Cafe in a cool old house, really fun concerts on the lake on Thursday nights, Club Foot, Raoul’s, Hippie Hollow and unspoiled nature all around. It was quirky and offbeat but not sinister.
I hate seeing what the left has done to it.
“It’s nasty now’
As what becomes of all liberal and democrat run cities.
