"The government's been in bed with the entire telecommunications industry since the forties. They've infected everything. They get into your bank statements, computer files, email, listen to your phone calls...Every wire, every airwave. The more technology used, the easier it is for them to keep tabs on you."

One of the houses I lived as a kid had intercoms in every room. We used them for the first week or two after moving in then the novelty wore off and they sat dormant for the next 8 years.

Andy: There is no such thing as phone cops!

I hate to say this, I think I'm switching from Android to Apple. Apple's privacy and anti-tracking policies have been so effective that online advertisers in the mobile space have shifted eight out of every ten advertising dollars away from the Apple platform and over to Android. More than 70% of Apple iPhone users have opted out of being tracked which means that 30% are just stupid I guess.
Time to move away from Android.
I already don't run Microsoft at home, I got rid of everything Google, switched to Brave browser, a private DNS service, SSL VPN and more to reclaim my privacy and stop being a marketing target.
I even went through the process of erasing my real identity from the Internet. It's time-consuming but it can be done.
