I’ve been following the case.
The only thing I’m certain of is that neither country’s Deep State is interested in justice.
I have no use for Biden but I have found two things I agree with him on: 1) the withdrawal from Afghanistan, although I don’t like him delaying it to spite Trump; and, 2) the hopeful extradition of this woman back to England. As I understand it, she hit a young man either walking or biking on a road there, claimed Deep State “diplomatic immunity” and was thus able to return to the US. Sorry, she is NOT above the law just bc she worked for CIA, she is NOT John Brennan. If you or I done this, we would have to stand trial in England over it, there should be NO difference in treatment.
Slippery slope. Taking away diplomatic immunity in this case would set a bad precedent. As a former diplomat, I would not want my immunity compromised due to a traffic accident.
