Hate to toot my own prognostication but I predicted 3 months ago that this country would probably top out at +/-60% accepting a Covid vaccine.
Gonna end up being pretty close.
That was my gut feeling a while ago too. I figured the people who really, really, really wanted it well the ones to spend hours hitting refresh on some website looking for an appointment, then you have the people who wait until the rush die down Before they schedule, but that would be a much smaller group than the first.
It seems that once that first eager group of people got theirs, many of the Super vaccination sites were basically empty or little to no wait at all.
Like you said, when all is said and done I suspect the total vaccination rate will be in the low 60s, maybe mid 60s, but nowhere near the supposed 75 to 85% that Fauci said it was necessary to “end the pandemic.”
I never thought 60% could be so stupid.
