With all these guns running around shooting people, the best thing we can probably do is domesticate them; train them to work with humans instead of following their natural patterns of just shooting everything they see.

Wouldn’t work! Domestication takes centuries of breeding. The issue with guns is that they are evolving too fast. By the time we manage to breed a nice docile musket the guns in the wild will be rotary heat seeking plasma cannons and we will not stand a chance.
Yours is a scary proposition, noting the failure of government attempts to domesticate T-Rex.
