It starts with teacher training—the so-called “Schools of Education” in public and private universities that attempt to foist off “education” as a discipline akin to mathematics, engineering etc. There is no branch of intellectual pursuit called education; aspiring teachers should become proficient in what they teach, not an array of courses that allude to a “history of education” or “theories of education” and the like. I have no problem with a limited number of such courses being incorporated into other higher education program areas, but the notion of education as a discipline is a joke and a disservice to anyone who wants to teach at any level of our K-12 system and more of a disservice to the public who pays the freight for the education of our young.

But... but... where will communities, woke churches and the Democrat party get their supply of indignant, meddling, self-righteous Karens without an Education major?
