Perhaps all 9 have realized that the politization of the court has went too far with the threat to pack the court.

On the other hand, they may just be saying, they can be political, but the Senators should not infringe on their turf.

We will see.

I agree that in some respect, the threats made directly to the Court by the Senate and Speaker have some weight in this and the other 9-0 decisions.

May I make a slight correction to your otherwise great post?

This should be written as either *went too far* or *has gone too far*.

I realize this may have been a typo, so I hope that my comment is taken in friendship.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Judge Thomas had sent a copy of ‘Field of Blood’ to each Judge which describes how DC spiraled out of control in the 1840s/1850s. It’s great reference material to the era, and would probably scare a lot of politicians over the atmosphere creating the Civil War.
