The vast majority of women do not care. The males who father their children don’t care. The people who do care are old.
It’s the consequence of a couple of generations of “working” mothers. As the generations moved along, the mothers started to believe it wasn’t their job to teach beliefs. That was left to “care providers” ie the schools and other institutions. The excuse “don’t have time” became the claim of virtue in letting their children “decide what to believe”.
This left the children with only the communists to teach them what to believe.
Yes, I know there are individuals here and there that jumped off this bandwagon (I’m one of them). But even in my conservative area, the number of children abandoned to this scenario is over 90%. No society will last long when children are treated like this.
Or anything else. I've heard stories about kids entering first grade still not toilet trained. But they know every commercialized Disney character or any other toon with a line of merchandise.
While I agree with you that it's not optimal for young kids to be in day care instead of with their mother or grandmother, the person who is supposed to be the spiritual head of the family is the father. The whole women's lib project is a failure; but many men have been more than eager to be let off the hook for the responsibilities of chastity, marriage and fatherhood.
