Nor would I. But you know that McCarthy would be Speaker and Scalise the Majority Leader because it's their turn. That's just the way D.C. works.
If they tried then they'd probably get it wrapped around their legs and they'd trip and hurt themselves. McCarthy does not strike me as the kind of guy to instill respect or fear in the rank and file. They'll follow him when they want, and ignore him when they want.
This idea reminds me of Reagan in 1980 dangling the vice presidency to Gerald Ford. He went with GHWB instead but really wanted Paul Laxalt. But people said the two should not come from neighboring states. Then came Clinton-Gore twelve yeasrs later.
President Trump wants to get to the media.
He owes them a big F-you as we all know.
He has a score to settle for sure.
But what President Trump has to realize is that just staying alive and enjoying life is mind bending to the media and his haters.

Although Biden's impeachment would be very unlikely, the ensuing months of criminal investigations would virtually eviserate the Democrat party in the eyes of the public.
The lamestream media simply could not ignore it.
When Pelosi hands over the gavel to Speaker of the House Trump, he might just mention her ripping-up his State of the Union Address.
One need not be an elected member of the house to become speaker of the house.

I see a real problem for the Dems/MSM/Tech companies. How do they censor Speaker of the House Trump when he is the “voice” of the House? Do they censor his news conferences? What do they do when he announces the filing of bills in the house? Or when he makes a floor speech?
I can see him requiring all appropriations to go through committees, (proper order), no omnibus bills, no pork, no unrelated amendments. It could be real fun to watch.
