I ne we heard of the Greenwood Riot either, however, anyone heard of the Rosewood Riot? It happened when a white femalewas attacked by a black man she claimed. A group of Democrats led by the husband of the women, started to find out and then 500 KKK (aka Democrats) who were in Gainesville decided to go and 'helped'. What happened is Democrats burned the town of Rosewood, killed (officially 6 blacks and 2 whites) but it could be up to 150 people.
A hero of the riot (mostly peaceful) was the Bryce tobrother, who took a train and picked up blacks who are trying to escape. Some white who were hiding the blacks (Republicans) were killed. Another unknown peaceful riot...
