Ewwwww! Are those “before” photos from a NutriSystem or Golo ad? It pretty much spoiled my appetite, and I’m female-I’m thin/fit-some guys don’t like that-but I’ll never understand why any guy would want to strap on a big ol heifer like that-she is a walking definition of the word “unhealthy”...
The Salton Sea used to be a cool vaca place to visit and go fishing, etc according to the guy I work for-he said his parents used to rent a Summer cabin there in the late 50’s-early 60’s when he was a kid-they lived in N Cali in the mountains...
After divorce, I was with a gal for a while that loved to fish. Good times in many ways! I was really hoping that one would work out, but alas...the crazy surfaced.

There are interesting mud pots near the Salton Sea. My son and his friends saw them in December. One friend went back a couple months later and it was substantially different. There is a lot going on geologically there. Also, a few years ago there was a “big one” not far away from there in Mexico. Very little damage because it was remote. We felt that one here in LA.
Just had a series of them off the Oregon Coast with 5.9 the largest.
The ones from about 1¾ days ago?
That other potential problem area on the northern side of the west coast is offshore of Oregon. If the distressed seam that is the string of fault lines ‘jiggles’ at the same time we could be redrawing the map of the USA from San Diego, CA to Eugene, OR.
BTW the southern tip of the Salton Sea has had 360 measurable quakes in the past 10 hours or so. As Frank Ballenger implied a few comments upthread, that’s a “Whole lot of shakin’ goin’ on”
