I know a gay man. He owns a business and he’s very successful, having some large scale jobs with the state and a customer list reading like who’s who in town. He’s conservative. He does have a live-in buddy. He is not overtly sexual in any way. There are no pride flags and he’s never done anything political to support the alphabet community. Talking to him at a Christmas party he said, “Man, some of those people (the alphabet community) turn my stomach. Be whatever you are, but for God’s sake, leave everyone else alone!”

One reason there may be “insufficient” pride celebration is, being a homosexual is no longer a big deal. Living your life and letting others live there’s...that’s a big deal.

It isn’t just homosexuals but asexuals are also included in LGBT pride.

Who knew? And why?
