Cancel culture has hit Morgan Wallen but his fans will not let it work. He is feted every time he steps on stage for someone else’s concert. His album is always near the top best selling county albums (deservedly so).

He said a bad racial word in his own back yard, not about a member of the race but in a street way about a fellow white guy. He was 72 hours into an alcohol bender. His neighbor caught it on video. He has donated hundreds of thousands to black charities, he’s apologized, he’s gone to rehab.

He’s sweet and humble and magnificently talented. He is nominated for awards but disinvited to attend.
