A younger friend had a bad reaction to pfizer #2. She's not going to get a booster if one becomes available. I don't think the shots are particularly safe compared to a flu shot or other deactivated virus type shots. But they are pretty safe for most people.

Everyone has to evaluate their own risk of getting and spreading COVID (not always a choice) versus the vaccine which is a choice. After a bad vaccine reaction a few people might need counseling. That's always a possibility.
