Let's see if the professional sports leagues sign on to this idea. They are among the most high-profile and high-paying jobs, so that should mean those who seek this cultural equity should put the pressure on the leagues to quit awarding large contracts and jobs based on merit. Let average people play forward for the Lakers; first base for the Yankees; and Quarterback for the Packers. Better yet, make sure those jobs are awarded based on a diversity quota basis, so that you have leagues filled with transgenders, Asians, disabled people, and lesbians and gays.
And once the sports leagues abandon meritocracy, implement that in movies & television, and university professors.
