Even “reality” shows are fidiots. On Bearing Sea Gold last week, the Kelly crew are wanting to dive near the town of Elim AK and the locals ain’t happy and fire a couple shots. One of the Kelly’s says “One of them has an AR-15!” OH NOES! Guess that’s more deadly than say a .308 or an old 30-06 hunting rifle. The nets have done their job of turning a mediocre round into something that could take down the International Space Station with a single shot. Grrrrrrrrrr!

This is another data point showing how popular the AR-15 type rifles are for hunting and subsistence above the Arctic Circle.

There are examples of polar and grizzly bears being easily brought down with the AR-15 and the .223 caliber.

My suspicion is most examples are never publicized.
