Well you can’t bring a gun on a flight so I think it’s reasonable that someone would bring a bat.
When I was 5 years old I found a bat and made it a pet. Kept him for years. He liked to stay on my shoulder during the day, hiding under my collar (big collars were in style in the late 50’s).
His name was Masterson.
