“No Republicans voted for the bill” was the description NBC News offered in their coverage of the narrowly passed $1.9 billion dollar Democratic “supplemental security bill” which is part of their using the Jan. 6 riot to signal that the American people can’t be trusted. That’s all you’re supposed to want to know, and yet the story, one way or another, is more interesting than that.
You see, while no Republicans voted for the bill, two Republicans didn’t vote at all. The almost $2 billion dollar legislation passed by just one vote. How this miraculous win by the Democrats came about is courtesy of the Republicans and is worthy of examination as it is reliant on one of two things: The House GOP leadership is either extraordinarily incompetent, which I don’t believe, or this is one more example of political theater meant to deliver their preferred outcome on a bill while trying to convince you they’re not the swamp.
How exactly did this happen? The headlines mockingly reported that a House GOP congressman “forgot” to cast a proxy vote for a fellow congressman allowing the one-vote passing margin. California Republican Ken Calvert’s office explained he simply forgot to cast the proxy vote for Texas GOP representative John Carter. This, despite the fact that he had been successfully casting that vote along with his own for a week. Yet, this one time, his responsibility to cast Mr. Carter’s became lost, as one song would suggest, as a misty water-colored memory in the corner of his mind.
The GOP might prefer you to believe that’s the case, as they look down at their socks embarrassed and slightly ashamed. Or, perhaps, this is exactly what they wanted.

How much longer is the GOPee going to be able to get away with their Sha-Rod?
I forgot....Well, excuuuuse me!
It ended with Trump, and their full cooperation in throwing the House, Senate, and Presidency to the Dems.
“How much longer is the GOPee going to be able to get away with their Sha-Rod?”
“What you put up with is what you get.” Lurker’s Grandfather.

Good article. Kabuki theater for us plebes. The Uniparty lives.
We SO need Term Limits, which will require amending the constitution. Congress will never propose it. So we must do it, through Article 5. Convention Of States, to propose amendments. Term limits will fly through the 38(!) states required for approval and we’ll have them.
from page two of the gope playbook:
a non-vote can be just as useful to our masters as a yes vote, or a no vote.
Yes...the polish is off the turd(s)
McCarthy and his team are Democrats .
They want this Jan 6 scam to remove Trump.
Its time to remove them all .
The pathetic scam fooled no one .
Tammy Bruce is an excellent reporter/talker, one of the best going at present.
the non-vote is especially useful to the globalists because not only did you **disenfranchise** a majority of .5 M people in a single district district, but you disenfranchised far more than half the nation in one fell swoop. now our descendants are on the hook for another 2 T wasted gov’t money.
a morally correct representative of the American people should never, ever miss a vote (unless they are incapacitated), and always vote yea or nay, never present.
TransRepublicans are a fake opposition party.
Most of them are Assistant Democrats.
The truth is there for all to see this bailout money is needed to prop up Republican run states as well as the Democrat run ones.
Dan Bongino says remember this fact and it all makes more sense. Many Republicans a really Democrats, no Democrats are secretly Republicans.
