Maybe he knew the dress code and did this on purpose?
Oh, well, it's a French restaurant, so that's to be expected.
so what did they apologize for? Enforcing the rules of the restaurant?
It really does matter that when you’re NOT turned away because you’re black, then don’t say you were.
He goes to a fancy Buckhead restaurant that HAS A PRINTED DRESS CODE. He’s dressed like a hood rat in “designer” athletic wear, (Athletic wear is specifically laid out in their dress code), and it’s because he’s black they have a problem with him.
They should never have apologized. Since they did, they will likely receive massive backlash from woketards everywhere. It would have been better if the restaurant reiterated their dress code and that they did not make exceptions out of consideration for their other guests.
Never apologize to the left.
I would have told him his race card was invalid, and would no longer be accepted.
NOW, How do I feel about businesses requiring masks? I don’t trade with them.
I couldn't recognize a single NBA player by face/name.
Foolish to apologize.
Atlanta is a black city
Americas largest in fact full of negroes.....places seem like Lagos
You have to go there often like I do to believe it
I don’t believe this horseshit for one second...
Yup- That is the hostile takeover of America in action- Now every time someone tries enforcing the rules- regardless of where it is, or for what reason, screams of racism, and the business or person will be either forced to back down, or cancelled- That is the America we live in now- Rules for white folks only- none for black folks-
In Kansas City in the Power and Light district, the issue was that the dress code was allegedly drafted to keep out people wearing the things certain races wore.
I call BS.
If he was dressed acceptably, he would have posted a picture/selfie.
I’ve been to restaurants where visible open tables were described to our group as ‘reserved/unavailable’ for a variety of reasons.
But of the times I’ve been to an ‘upscale’ restaurant - count on one hand - I’ve never gone in flashy colors, let alone ‘sneakers’.
Very, very poor taste, lack of planning and an elitist expectation of accommodation due to race on his part.
Pathetic.
So the truth comes out after all.
All the cries of “racism” and “discrimination” are just race baiting propaganda.
“I couldn’t recognize a single NBA player by face/name.”
Same here and include NFL and Baseball.
Recognize a few old timers, Rose, Joe Namath is about it.
Was never into sports. Car hot rodding was my drug.
And Big Pussy Bonpensiero
He probably don’t know how to read.
An “NBA legend” (as the article calls him) no doubt already owns some nice dress clothes even if he rarely wears them.
It’s no wonder why so few restaurants still have dress codes. People dress like slobs in general these days, but even if you try to make your place a bit nicer, a dress code is almost impossible to enforce without people saying it’s racist, sexist, bigoted, etc.
I’ve worked around Wilkins. He is one of the decent ones. He was always patient with the fans, a gentleman when I needed him to do something, and gregarious among his peers. (I did work for the Hall of Fame.)
I’ve dealt with prima donnas. I’ve seen fans treated poorly. I’ve had his peers refuse to work with me at all. I am looking at you Kareem.
So they don’t want people wearing sweatpants in their establishment. How is that racist
But let’s act like it was for racism so that I can get in the news!
