One of the most shocking things about gun-grabbing Democrats is their shocking ignorance about guns, legal gun owners, and gun culture. That ignorance was on display Sunday when David Chiu, a California assemblyman, was walking down the streets of San Francisco and discovered the abandoned packaging for a Glock. The horror! Except it wasn’t a Glock at all, something he would have realized if he’d read the packing or known anything about gun sales.

The days leading up to April 19th would be a great time but it could also be done for "back to school", Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.
Let the recipients carry them proudly and it would help dispel the bubble that Leftists live in where guns only exist in fictional movies and television shows.
Correction:
If Chiu had ever bothered to investigate actual guns to read his own City, County & State's laws on firearms, he would have known that real guns don’t come in little plastic packages with holes cut out to hang on hooks. Of course, he would have reached the same conclusion if he’d thought before posting.
Unfortunately for the rest of us most (virtually all apparently) of them do not even realize how un-informed and ill informed they really are. This manifests in several ways:
They simply have no idea - don't know the terminology, issues, etc. Complete ignorance. But that won't stop them from repeating something they heard or supporting a leftist position because, you know, conservatives are bad evil people and must be opposed at every turn... Even when they have no idea what they're talking about.
Potentially worse is when they "know" something, but as President Reagan so famously observed: "...the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so..." Far too many "experts" on the left get their information from movies and TV - which generally has only the most tenuous of linkage to reality - or from other leftists who are repeating incorrect or false information.
Of course it is not all ignorance. There are those on the left who know they are wrong but simply don't care. They have an agenda, an agenda to gain power. If they need to lie, steal, cheat, etc. to further their objectives, so be it. To them the ends justifies the means - any means. So they will knowingly repeat falsehoods. It makes good theater, it is on message. They are liars and manipulators.
Finding the discarded packaging of a box of condoms on a leisurely weekend walk was disturbing, particularly during the surge of VD in San Francisco.
Having to walk carefully so as not to step in the turds was also very disturbing. Especially because of the discarded needles covering the streets. Oh, and don’t forget the individuals who should be in an institution who are free to roam the streets.
I suspect the muzzle is orange. Still, best not to carry it in a situation that could have a shred of doubt. That’s all well and good but what about the teacher in the detailed bodysuit?

They don’t want anything—absolutely anything—allowed that could even possible reflect or further “gun culture.” So little kids can’t bite their pop-tarts into a gun shape, or point their index finger and go “pew-pew-pew,” or do virtual school with a multi-colored bulbous super-soaker plastic water gun in the view, or they are castigated as murderers and criminals and threatened with school expulsion and have police or child and family agencies want to search their homes.
It’s truly sad how far we’ve sunken.
