I still think it is July 4, but yes, this is about to be in our review mirror. Time to move on. If you watched the PGA championship today is was a sea of humanity around the 18th green when Mickelson won. Vey few masks, lots of jubilation — we are going to be back to normal and soon.

I’m happy to report in my own personal world, I am pretty much back to old normal, with just a couple of hardliners around me, which I manage by ignoring.

Today, for the first time in over a year, our church allowed family members to sit together instead of apart (for the second week) and, glory hallelujah, NO MASKS REQUIRED TODAY!!! I would have to guess that 97% of the congregation was MASK-FREE!!! It was so good to see my old church family without masks today!! It felt like we had finally made it to the Promised Land after wandering in the desert for 40 years!

Yeah, early July still seems right. Same as I’ve been calling since January. Numbers rarely lie. Usually it’s the people interpreting the numbers that lie.

Happy to go back to 2019 normal ASAP.

We can all be grateful for that!
