The Democrats were reduced by the riots (since they egged them on), but Trump was reduced by appearing to worry about himself rather than the country toward the end of the campaign and in the days following it.
You getting Trump and Alec Baldwin mixed up?
ah, well, cutting someone off from all media tends to create that impression, n'estce pas? on the other hand, in America, we had some people who entered the Hallowed Halls of Government, and didn't burn or completely trash things. Most walked between velvet ropes, admired statues and the architecture and took selfies. Additionally, we had no army regiments called out to shoot people down in the streets enmasse --- as would have occurred, and has, in just about every other country on earth. Which the former job-hunting ambassador to NZ should be fully aware of and should rather have highlighted as to how America handles freedom, and freedom of expression protests differently. It was, in short, a dignified protest - except for the assassination of Ashli Babbit, and a bit of glass window and a few papers strewn on the floor by the usual class dunces, that is. Certainly not comparible to the burning of Kenosha - a real banana republic moment.
