Scott Brown: Trump’s ‘Presidency Was Diminished’ by Riots, Looked Like ‘Banana Republic’
Breitbart ^ | 23 May 2021 | PAM KEY

Former Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA), who served as U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand under former President Donald Trump, said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Capitol rioting on January 6 “diminished” Trump’s presidency.

Anchor Dana Bash said, “Mitt Romney said former President Trump incited the Capitol insurrection. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Trump is practically and morally responsible for what happened. You’re a former senator and ambassador. do you agree with them that Trump bears responsibility for the insurrection?”

Brown said, “Yeah, absolutely. I mean, he bears responsibility. I think his presidency was diminished as a result of that. And I think he’s paying a price. He has been impeached twice. He was impeached for those actions. A lot of the great things he did, working on China, getting the vaccine out, got it developed right away, looking at what he did with Iran, Russia, and in the Indo-Pacific specifically, during the Christchurch attacks in New Zealand. I mean, all those things are by the wayside now. That is why it’s imperative to find out what role everybody played and figure out why.”

On watching the riots unfold on television, Brown said, “I thought it was either an action movie, a banana republic, some type of dictatorship. I was embarrassed. I was angry.”

A grade school class was asked what their dads did for a living.

Johnny said, “My dad’s a stripper at a gay club. He turns tricks in an alley for extra money.”

Teacher took him aside and asked, “Johnny, is your dad really a stripper in a gay club?”

He replied, “No, he’s a reporter for CNN, but I was too embarrassed to reveal that.”

If you were in a town where lawlessness was happening because of some politicians that were groveling to BLM, those politicians would have been democrats or RINOS (though even most rinos had more self-respect than the dems). The thing that hurt Trump wasn’t the riots I don’t think. I think it was how he was stuck on the election (rather than not talking about it while pursuing it, and instead turning the bully pulpit to the problems at hand. I think that is what really hurt him.

What a freaking dope. Trump was nonstop called a dictator. Imagine what would have happened to him if he had acted with federal authority to put down the communist insurgents. The state governors and big city mayors are responsible for what happened, not the feds.

Good old GOP...these people are fools to believe the press...

They don’t. They just disagree with Trump on policy and are using the most convenient hammer with which to bash him. The goal being, of course, to “diminish” his political capital and therefore the MAGA agenda.

Things did go wrong, and as tempting as it is to attack the disappointing Scott Brown, that isn’t going to make a bit of difference to the average voter who could care less about Brown. Trump is the big name, the big ticket, and his policies are the big draw for voters. He is the big deal whereas Brown is a speedbump.

“The riots were a campaign strategy by the Democrats...”

Exactly right. Keep The Senile One locked in his basement, foment internal division and hatred, turn the Democrat Shock Troops loose to destroy the cities, and blame Trump.

Funny how almost all of those Shock Troops are now under wraps and put away until the next time they are needed, isn’t it?

I WAS THERE, it was extremely cold. A million peaceful, families of every religion and race, JUST asking our dutifully electred representatives to push the hOLD button until a closer look could be given to the ballots cast. Good Grief.. Jan. 6th, invasion of the Capitol Building was NOT perpetrated or organized by Donald J. Trump. Hell is Frozen Over and the POPE got married!!!

Looked Like ‘Banana Republic’

Like the type of country where the "corret" El Presidente is elected in a flurry of ballot box stuffing?

Oh really— and no mention of Antifa/ BLM riots tearing up Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Kenosha, Oakland and other assorted DemoRat run holes of leftist violence and destruction. If anything President Trump was too patient and restraining in dealing with these destructive termites who needed their collective butts kicked.

This clown lost to Pocahontas.

He also tried to run for office in New Hampshire and lost to Jean Shaheen.

The GOP is chock full of Dem plants, but the Dems all get in line and Vote together.

Supreme Court -Liberal Justices all vote together. There’s no need to show up even, it’s like clock work.

Schumer told Collins he needed her more in the Senate, so she dropped her bid for Maine Gov!
