Members of the Republican Study Committee, the largest conservative caucus in Congress, unveiled their plan to rein in spending and cut taxes on Wednesday — in an effort to offer an alternative proposal to the Biden administration’s big-spending plans.

The proposal looks to balance the federal budget in five years while cutting $14.4 trillion over the course of a decade and lowering taxes by $1.9 trillion, with the architects of the proposal stating that it would lead to a budget surplus by 2026.

Why propose anything to CornPop, Pelosi, or Schumer. Complete waste of time.

Instead, put a web page detailing all the insane programs that the Dems are funding or want to fund. And then put the counter proposals on there or detail how wasteful these Dem programs are.

Other than that, Vote NO, on anything coming out of the Dems Or the White House

Sadly, there are more than a few Republicans that are A-OK with all the spending.

Great that they proposed this bill - though everyone (including them) knows that it stands as much chance as a snowball on the surface of the Sun, it will stand in stark contrast to the disaster of a budget that the Dems will ultimately force through.

“That proposal is DOA”

True. But seriously the GOP controlled the House of Representatives from 1995 to 2007 and again from 2011 to 2019. The Constitution gives the House the power of the purse. All spending and revenue bills must originate in the House. How many balanced budgets did the GOP House send to the Senate during the years the GOP controlled the House?

Face it, the GOP prefers being in the minority where they can pretend to be fiscally responsible. As soon as they control the checkbook, there is no discipline.

Exactly, when they are in the minority in the House & Senate they pretend to be fiscally responsible.Especially when a Democrat is in the White House.

Both parties govern the same, take money from the same sources, but speak to voters with different rhetoric.

These suckers won’t give up their globalist ideologies easily.
