Elise Stefanik has taken over as chair of the House GOP conference from Liz Cheney, and in a wonderful surprise, is calling for free and fair elections.
She's blasting the trash coming from the Democrats who are trying to block the Arizona audit of Maricopa County. Seems there's something in it they'd rather the Republicans not see, so they're throwing up roadblock after roadblock.
Instead of sweeping that appalling picture under the rug, as Liz Cheney might do, Elise is speaking out as the new Republican House leader:
BREAKING: GOP Chair Elise Stefanik: Justice Department Is ‘Trying to Block’ Maricopa County Audit. — MrGeorgiaPine (@gseagle11) May 17, 2021
To Cheney, the elections were completely fraud-free, something she repeated again and again with a heaping helping of sanctimony.
Stefanik sees things differently. And as a Republican leader, she should. Who the hell's votes were cancelled out in this obvious cheatfest now being exposed in Arizona? That's right, Republican votes. A normal Republican leader would be very concerned about suppression of her party's own voters. It costs the party seats, after all, and it cost the party the presidency. We've got an unfit bounder in the White House and a showing of clowns in the House and Senate as a result. A good Republican leader would and should be very concerned about making every Republican vote count, and not be cancelled.
As my argument that there was fraud, a position held by 70% of the GOP voters, that's being in tune with the party base, the base which votes. Elise recognizes her duty to be in tune with what Republicans are thinking and feeling.
Liz speaks out about election fraud at times, but only in hellholes like Afghanistan. On this election here, she's blinded and silent,

Uh huh. Let’s see if it lasts.
You never give up do you?
Yet you were busy defending Liz Cheney the snake.
Figures.
She’s at least starting off on the right path.
This one’s more level-headed.
“I have to admit, though... she had me fooled.”
I’ve been fooled so many times by these illusions, like Trey Gowdy, that I’m cynical. Don’t give me words, give me action. Until then, you’re full of crap just like all the others before you.
“Yet you were busy defending Liz Cheney the snake.”
You’re confused. I NEVER defended Cheney, and I’d insult you for making such a stupid claim, but it would be a wasted effort.
A’yup.
my two-part test for Republicans:
1.can’t be as bad as the average Democrat
2.has to support fellow Republicans
Elise passes, Liz did not
Don’t you have the “Must be conservative” test?
She was great during the impeachment but her voting record sucks. Still better than Liz.
Only dense people think a politicians past voting is an indication of how they will vote in the future.
Go check out Reagan’s voting record - when he was a Democrat.
Stefanik Past was a junior congresswoman from a large Democrat state. Stefanik Future is the 3rd most powerful politician in the House, a position she owes to the endorsement and unconditional support of Trump who is still the only true leader of the free world.
With Cheney and others, the ends (getting rid of Trump) justifies the means to an extent.
But honestly, if Jeb! were president and pushed out of office because of rampant mail ballot stuffing, I think he’d go quietly. Losing is what this loser party does best, even if it involves a stolen election from one of their own. They’d just go quietly and continue their empty calls for election security while blue states rig the votes so that no one can ever get into office to actually implement it. It’s better to pretend that you lost a fair election and try to keep the peace than to peel back the onion of what’s really going on.
1. Documented truth about the 2020 election fraud needs to be revealed.
2. Those responsible need to be charged with election fraud, subverting the Constitution, and giving aid and comfort to domestic enemies of the United States.
3. Justice needs to be applied to those tried and convicted.
4. Funding needs to be authorized for the carpenters to build the needed gallows and for the purchase of sufficient rope.
Dense??? LOL!!! You just keep making repeated runs at that football, Charlie.
Stefanik’s district is a left of center district. If she had voted 90+% with Trump’s positions she would not get reelected. She represents her constituents in her district, not the R party. One must be cognizant of these kinds of facts, if not one can make oneself look very dumb. In most cases Stefanik’s votes contrary to a Trump position were made after it was clear it would pass regardless of how she voted. And there is also the fact that Trump whole heartedly endorses her.
I have to admit, though... she had me fooled.
That’s likely not very difficult since you’re just as blinded by your ideology as the typical leftist.
Wow! This is the third time my intelligence has been called into question for being cynical when it comes to Stefanik. Are you all blood relatives or something, or are we all just supposed to fall in line behind anyone the GOP pushes to the head of the class. And in case you need reminding, Trump endorsed, hired and/or nominated a lot of pols who turned out to be duds. Happens to the best off them.
And you’re just another lemming, permanently affixed to the arse of the establishment GOP.
