Its supposed to be a side effect of Ivermectin that acts as a palliative to the effects of Covid infection. It somehow (mechanism is not yet understood) prevents Covid from breaking through human cell walls. This has been reliably shown to work under lab conditions. Less ability to propagate in cells, less viral load, and thus less damage. That is, it is claimed to improve survival odds for infected people.
If it is widely taken in a population as a preventative, the lower viral load of infected people may also reduce transmission.
Its still uncertain whether it works in the human body as well as it does in the lab.
I believe with hindsight of this crazy year that many (if not most) will conclude that the single biggest impediment to using the cheap and effective treatments of Covid was Saint Fauci.
The question then becomes how many people died and how many were severely ill with long term damage because we refused treatments that have clearly been shown to be safe and effective.
My personal opinion is that at least 50% could have been avoided. Many think that number is far higher. The CDC guidance was to avoid any of these treatments because they were ineffective (false) and dangerous (false). Any treatment regimes that were effective takes away the desperation for the vaccine.
I am not anti-vax either. I had the J&J based on my own risk assessment, but I think each adult should make that decision for themselves based on their known risk factors. I will not vaccinate my teenagers nor should people who had the virus be vaccinated as they already have immunity. The push for total vaccination is asinine in my humble opinion.
The treatments are not 100% effective, but I do believe early intervention with them is highly effective. The vaccine does not appear to be 100% effective either although the efficacy of it is demonstrably high. The irony is that the vaccine appears more dangerous (a small number) than the very treatments they claimed were dangerous and unproven.
One man is most responsible for what I wrote above and that is Fauci. Ironically, it is likely that he helped to fund the very gain of function research in China that created Covid-19 because it clearly is not a naturally occurring virus in nature.

The current Indian outbreak is following the same course as any number of others, where the infection rate peaks and the rate falls off on its own. The US had exactly the same last March-May, and this Oct-Feb. Vaccines had nothing to do with it, and I doubt Ivermectin/HCQ is much of a factor either.

Vaccines don’t help the people who are already sick in bed with covid. Ivermectin, plenty of evidence that it does. The head office threw everyone who was sick under the bus for the ‘bigger idea’ of mRNA vaccines and their ‘potential’ future uses.
It is also an ionophore that helps transfer zinc into the human cells. HCQ does the same.
I dont take it at all. It is available for prescription by physicians, and depending on the country it can be very cheap. In the Philippines it is @5-10 cents a pill IIRC, the daily dose. Granted, over there that is a significant sum for the poorest.
I think you are mistaken. Not vaccines and not a natural ebb and flow. India has 1.4 billion people, that’s a lot of habitat for the virus to expand, and also a lot of vaccines and pills to distribute. But the states in India that have begun to distribute ivermectin have seen a marked decline in cases and hospitalizations and oxygen use in just a few days, without widespread compliance. Too soon to know, and since it is a mass experiment probably may never really know unless they do a large clinical trial. Probably just end up with post hoc data comparing rates of illness among ivermectin takers vs non-ivermectin takers.
The evidence for the use of ivermectin is not as clear-cut as this writer suggests. While it shows in vitro activity against a range of viruses, the gap between showing efficacy in vitro versus in clinical use is as wide as the ocean. For every drug that is approved for clinical use, hundreds of candidate compounds are abandoned for a host of reasons, including toxicity issues, failing to work in vivo, etc.
In the case of ivermectin, the anti-parasitic dose is far too low to achieve the concentration needed to have anti-viral activity in the body. As one physician in India observed, "In some countries such as India, ivermectin is used for mass chemoprophylaxis of lymphatic filariasis. When noting a fall in cases, one cannot dismiss the role of measures taken to decrease physical transmission of the virus. India imposed curfews and lockdowns, which have more of an effect on preventing Covid-19 than anything else (people who are not exposed do not get sick):

Please, please, do some fact-checking before posting blogs. Most of these bloggers are not medically trained and have no training in analytical thinking, both of which are important skills for passing along factual information about Covid-19. Right now, our biggest enemy is misinformation. Misinformation about the pandemic helped to catapult Biden into the White House as much as any vote fraud, with catastrophic result. Do we really want misinformation to give even more fuel to those who would destroy our liberty and prosperity?

There were 17k new cases yesterday, Monday. Cases are always low on Mondays. Today, there are 53,585 new cases, which is the highest case count since May 1.
Unfortunately, backing down on public health measures can result in increased cases. It all depends on how well people keep observing measures to physically inhibit virus transmission. Unvaccinated people who immediately stop wearing masks and get in each other’s faces are prime candidates to come down with Covid-19.
The protected elite in this country will never admit anything. They will have an excuse for everything they do and the propaganda media will support them.
