A parolee who pleaded guilty to the execution-style killing of a Los Angeles County sheriff’s sergeant in 2016 was sentenced Monday to life in prison without possibility of parole.
Trenton Trevon Lovell, 31, was sentenced for killing Sgt. Steve Owen, who was shot five times on Oct. 5, 2016, as he answered a 911 report of a burglary in progress at an apartment building in Lancaster.

He killed the cop in 2016 and it took 5 years to convict and sentence him ? WTF !
Right?? The Chauvin trial and conviction happened at light speed compared to that.
Persecutions always move more rapidly than legitimate prosecutions.
He can apply for parole in 7 years.
