In both cases, the political geography doesn’t favor former President Donald Trump. In New York, said Banzhaf, Vance is not running for another term and “just might want to end his already-illustrious career with a bang.”

And in Georgia, Banzhaf said that Willis “is a Democrat in a heavily Democratic county. Therefore, most members of a grand jury, and of any criminal trial juries in this county, are likely to be very unfriendly to Trump, especially now that he has lost a lot of his clout and his ability to reach out easily on social media with most of his followers.”

Both paragraphs basically stating this is a political persecution and Trump is guilty until proven innocent

He really pissed off the power brokers. Which tells me Trump was really, really doing the right thing for the country.

Did you really think we want those laws observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.

I often say this, and I especially mean it now.

As per the response to a set of absurdly unjust, utterly unprecedented political prosecution of a former president, that these villains are contemplating: “Those who talk, do not act. Those who act, do not talk.”

That is all I will say.

How can that be? Tax laws are so clearly written that any and all violations must be nefarious.

I’m in nyc so instead of a gun, all I have is a poptart in the shape of a gun, unless they catch me, and then I’ll have nothing.

They don’t have crap. If they could ever manufacture any evidence against him, they would indict him Instead, they just put out rumors and they are enough fools on Free Republic that will say, “ If he did it, he needs to be.....”

I imagine they are just dying to convict Trump of a Felony. Then he can’t run for president again. So they will make up anything and use the corrupt justice system to push it through.

He took something from these people. Money, influence, contacts. Something.

First they’d have to find something that was a criminal violation of NY tax law but was totally acceptable to the IRS. I’d say the likelihood of finding that is pretty much non-existent.

“In New York it’s probably going to be claims of tax and financial fraud.”

You can be sure the ‘rats have already tried hard to get Trump - they couldn’t.

“In Georgia it’s allegations of election fraud relating to that phone call with the Georgia governor about finding enough votes to win the election recount.”

The election had already been officially certified. The processing of the votes was completed at the administrative/executive level.

For those of you who don’t know, Fani Willis’s dad was a black panther back in the day. Her going after President Trump reminds me of the woman in St Louis who indicted Governor Greitens of MO on very flimsy charges, but they were enough to get him to resign.

People in liberal cities in conservative states elect prosecuting attorneys who then use the power of their offices to practice lawfare on conservative politicians. The prosecutors are wildly popular with their constituents and will hold office as long as they care to.

Consider all of the criminal activity occurring in Fulton County, GA and the big priority of the local prosecutor is a phone call made by President Trump. And there is very little that our side can do to hit back.

Justice is blind and yet somehow being in an heavily democratic area is unfavorable to Trump. Odd that...

I don’t. People are far too comfortable in their own lives, even while their freedoms are being taken away. Very, very few have it in their DNA to make a personal sacrifice now.

Sadly, I have to agree. As long as there's beer in the fridge, TV and power and running water, things will keep going mostly the way they've been going.
