Correct.
Called my Congress critter. Asked him why is it seniors who want to continue to work part time have a limit set on them. 32 or 34 grand per couple, for example. If you go over that you pay income taxes on 85% of your Social Security.
If you early retire and want to work part time to supplement your income, you can only make about 17 grand per year or you have to pay back.
Does that makes sense? He had no answer.
