(1) Gates founded Microsoft almost 20 years before he married his wife.
(2) The bulk of Gates money is in the Foundation, which his wife agreed to. She is also a board member and director at the Foundation.
(3) Finally, they signed a property division contract before they petitioned for divorce, so, obviously she agrees with the settlement.
