You can find enough that will shock you. The only way to get rid of it is to completely destroy the hard drive.

Nothing is ever well and truly deleted from magnetic storage media. It is when I delete it. I take the drives apart and crush the platters. Sure they could use electron microscopes or some other tech to read bits of data, if they could find the crushed platters.
