The enemy of the people IS the US Government. I can think of NO federal government agency that is NOT a threat to the people in some way.
So we are running major infrastructure on public networks?
Someone should be shot if true.

From the way Biden and his cronies are responding to this makes me think that THEY are the ones behind the attack..after all, the higher the gas prices, the more people will have to get electric cars, and that is the lefts plan from the start

Your comments are exactly what I thought, and I agree.
I saw this article this morning. It’s worth reading the whole thing (it’s long) because it has a lot of details about the hackers, their group, things they’ve already done. They’ve hacked and “kidnapped” for ransom something like 80 companies, although none as important as Colonial.
And the Dems have done nothing.They’re clueless.
Newt is right: this type of hacking should be a death penalty offense, it’s an act of war and an attack on the US, and we should hunt these people down.
But our military is too busy posing with their all gay helicopter crews and our intelligence services are busy spying on anybody on the Democrat “enemies list,” which probably includes most of us here. Meanwhile, the Chinese, the Iranians and the just plain criminals are having a field day and are not even slightly intimidated by the US.
After all, it’s probably time for rave night on the helicopter.
Observations:
We are certain somebody hacked our pipelines but just as certain nobody hacked our elections?
We meddled in Russia pipeline to Germany. Is that an act of war?
We took sides with Ukraine against Russia involving a territorial dispute that involved a Russian majority. Is that an act of war?
Do we expect we can meddle in other country’s affairs without consequences, particularly when we have a weak leader?
That’s exactly what it is - piracy. Kill them on the spot. No trial.
