The founding member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus was reacting to the push, including former President Trump, to have the New York moderate be the replacement for the number three House Republican.
“I know Elise Stefanik pretty well. She’s a very nice lady. She’s a very intelligent lady. And she’s about as far left wing as you can get in a Republican conference,” Brooks told host Todd Starnes. “I’m not confidant that that is the kind of voting record that you want as the chair of the Republican conference.

Mistake IMHO giving the job to Stefanik. There are plenty of other House members that can do very well.
