The biggest BS methodology I’ve ever read from a poll in my life. No breakdown of party affiliation BUT they admit to oversampling black and Asian voters.

Here in central Indiana the gas price has gone from around $2 a gallon to nearly 3 ($2.99 the other day) in 4 months.

The poll found 96 percent of Democrats, 62 percent of independents and 23 percent of Republicans surveyed approve of Biden's work in his first three full months in office.

That's true, but remember that many people haven't needed to use their cars as much, and when they have the roads are still pretty clear, far fewer of the 5:00 bumper to bumper conditions so commonplace pre-covid. Hell, driving has been a joy over the past year. Add to that the fact that we've been conditioned to expect high gas prices and may actually feel guilty when they are low.
Right now everyone is comfortable, enjoying (at least here in New Jersey) magnificent Spring weather, and feeling pretty optimistic.
All this means is that when the crunch hits, the misery index will rise in double time.
I guess the point I was trying to make is that approval ratings are nothing more than a snap shot of momentary contentment in a populace.
