Conquerors or occupiers from Canada and the E.U.? (With what mighty forces or will?) I don't see that. But crawling sprawl from the Mexican border? Fer sher. Communist China occupying the West? More likely the areas of the East surrounding the supine universities and corporate campuses.

Right. Canada wouldn’t invade northern US. But, if parts of the north split off in a fracture scenario, they could align with Canada. I could see Canada welcoming “warmer” places like N. Dakota and Minnesota.
