Not crying after a grievous bullet wound is sometimes referred to as going into shock.
It’s amazing, when you haven’t serious accident and you walk yourself into the emergency room to check in because you’re in shock and your broken bones and torn twisted ligaments for some strange reason don’t really start hurting until just before the pain meds kick in.
