An "out of control" Chinese rocket has landed in the Indian Ocean, China says.
The rocket, called Long March 5B, was launched from Wenchang Space Launch Centre on 29 April to carry Tianhe - the first module of China's future space station - into orbit.
It re-entered the atmosphere at 3.24am UK time, with the bulk of its components destroyed at that point, according to Chinese state media.
The point of impact was somewhere southwest of India and Sri Lanka, they added.
While the timing of the landing had been pinpointed quite closely, the possible landing site had been unclear until the last minutes of the rocket's descent.

Darn, I was hoping for a landing in Mecca
WOW!
It almost hit the Glomar Explorer, a private research vessel working in the area!!!
It was probably going to land in the ocean. But the point is the Chinese did not know where it was coming down. Such control is a basic function of western launches.
The attitude displayed by the Chinese should not be ignored. Their lack of concern for the safety of people and property should be concerning to everyone on earth.

Even more so since Elon Musk proved his rocket could land back on the pad.
Somebody help me out. If this is true, what am I watching here:

I’ve been looking at this since last night thinking I was looking at live tracking.
Glad that's over. The Chinese almost took out one of their own schools last year. Anyway, hope everyone, regardless of cisgender, is having a great Mother's Day, other than leftists, I hope all of them just drop down dead. Naturally, I mean that in the nicest possible way.
Goes the weasel ! (one of them anyway.)
I like how the “experts” had no idea where it was going to hit. Wild $#! guessing.
It probably ended up right next to MH370.
