Of course the question is why was Venice Beach a past thriving community but now it’s a homeless shanty town? You see a lot of able bodied younger people among the ‘homeless’. Not to paint with too wide a brush but I bet the majority of their circumstances are due to poor choices and loser mentalities.
the whole city and county of Los Angles is infested with homeless. crap rolls down onto the freeways. the look up and some homeless guy is just hanging out
