Residents of Venice Beach in Los Angeles say soaring crime rates and the exploding homeless population have made life in the elite beachside community unbearable.

A 'catastrophic' increase in homelessness in Los Angeles has seen hundreds of tents line the beach's famous boardwalk.

Business owners say they are being forced to close their doors and longterm residents are afraid to leave their homes after dark after being subjected to violent attacks and intimidation.

They probably have fewer problems with vampires, now.

From the headline I thought at first it was Venice, Italy.

I thought they meant Italy too, but quickly the realized the Venice ‘Powers That Be’ would never allow it.

Hey those beachfront tents looked pretty swank. I can’t afford beachfront property.

I was expecting the headline to continue:

Still they all keep voting for the Dems...

On the other hand maybe they are not - not unless you implicitly trust the results of the Nov election, that is. If the machines can be ‘convincingly’ manipulated for a Presidential election, ask where did they get the practice? Why did German TV show, just before the Great Vote Count Blackout, that both California and Hawaii were solidly Trump?

A liberal student would interpret that as robbing everyone 1.7 (almost twice) times!

I was there four years ago and it wasn’t as bad as the German in Venice video shows. It wasn’t great, but you could still walk around safely. Based on that video, I wouldn’t do it now.

We’ve seen similar videos of San Francisco, Seattle and Portland. These are people who have no purpose in life and have given up. This is what happens when you teach people that they came from slime, there is no God, and when you die you die. It’s hopelessness. And it’s a lie.

“I’m truly shocked uber lib Austin, TX voted last week to ban it’s tent cities.”

When you ban tent cities, what do you do with the people that are living in them? Tough love I suppose.

There’s been an explosion of homeless addicts in Los Angeles, and it seems that much of the problem has been caused by Prop 47, which made drug possession/use just a minor infraction.

It also made shoplifting up to $950 a day a misdemeanor, guaranteeing vagrants and addicts can fund their idle lives of addiction with very little effort and no punishment.

Anyone who thinks this sh*t is not deliberate is an industrial strength moron.

I didn’t think a /s tag would be necessary, given that California already has lots and lots of gun control ... and skyrocketing murder rates, surprise, surprise. Baltimore has especially viciously enforced gun control and trades off with a few other cities (which also have strict gun control) as being the murder capital of the entire country.
