All the people who have delusions that the military is not as corrupted as the rest of the government can just give it up.

No they are not. My brother-in-law is about to make general in the Air Force. He is as liberal as they come which aided in his advancement. Conservative officers were largely purged from the ranks during the Obama administration where he is at.
The US military is another huge government bureaucracy. Its all about who sits where, activist government politics, and insiders and corporations dividing up the spoils of $700 billion year.
In spite of all that money and hardware, this state of organization combined with the decadence and division among American society, I can’t see how the USA will ever again be able to engage in a conventional war.
