The first step was putting women on combatant vessels.


I asked a navy guy back in the 1990s when they just started putting women on ships what he thought about it. He said there aren’t enough men enlisting and they need the bodies for fire suppression.

So that’s the reason it began - not enough men were stepping up

I got out before the 90s. Seems kind of a lame way to get more bodies. They gave Filipinos the path to citizenship through enlistment. The same could have been done with Mexicans.

Women don’t belong on combatant vessels.
