A massive Chinese rocket is expected to make an uncontrolled re-entry to Earth this week — and experts have no clue yet where its remnants will land.
The roughly 100-foot-tall core of the Long March 5B rocket launched the 22.5-ton “Heavenly Harmony” unmanned Tianhe space station module from Wenchang in Hainan province on Thursday, the Guardian reported.
Tianhe soon separated from the launcher and entered its planned initial orbit — but the core stage is likely to make an uncontrolled re-entry amid the thickening atmosphere, SpaceNews reported. “It’s potentially not good,” Jonathan McDowell, an astrophysicist at the Astrophysics Center at Harvard University, told the Guardian.

It means there’s a lot of potential energy in the thing.

I disagree. A rocket is falling back to Earth. The fact that it is falling in an uncertain path is bad.
Yeah, large objects randomly falling out of the sky rarely have good potential.

Well, you see, all large objects in space actually have lots of good potential. And lots of kinetic energy too. And that's the problem, all that potential becoming all that kinetic and heat and radiation energy at ground level. Somewhere.
Estimates for time and date of reentry are mixed. They range from 1 hour from now to May 12.
My hope is the FBI, US House, US Senate, DOJ, White House or IRS.
