Well if constitutional carry does not make it to the governor’s desk this legislative session, folks have a choice...exercise your right to carry a weapon to protect yourself by obtaining a CHL license or just don’t.

CC would be the preferred outcome, but obtaining a license through the state is so unbelievably easy. I have a difficult time understanding why all these people keep squawking.

I think many want CC because they for one reason or another would not qualify for a state issued CHL.

I think the point is.... according to the US Constitution... you shouldn't have to "qualify" for a state-issued permission to carry.

Texas should have been leading the way on this issue... but, instead, is behind the times (20 other states already have CC). Why is that? Probably because there are too many anti-2nd Amendment leftists in Texas making Texas policy, against the will of the majority of Texans (like leftist Democrats always do).

I hope this reaches the gov's desk for signature...but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.
