If you’d look at the chart notes, you’d see that many reporting jurisdictions take weeks to report their deaths up to the CDC. Ergo, the numbers for recent weeks are very low and get adjusted as the reporting jurisdictions eventually report in. In short, this article exists because somebody couldn’t read a footnote on a chart. The author clearly states in the second paragraph of the article, what is in the footnote of the chart.
What part of, "The last two weeks of data are incomplete", don't you understand.
Ironically, your post exists because you "couldn't read" the second paragraph in the article.

It isn’t two weeks. It’s 8 weeks or more. Read the actual page rather than this agenda-pushing misinformed author’s nonsense.

What part of, "The last two weeks of data are incomplete", don't you understand. It is more than two weeks incomplete. The other thing to consider is that this is oild news. https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3879540/posts Slightly different chart but the same principle. The data is provisional.
That said, there will eventually be a dearth of death since the a lot of the death was displaced (premature by months or a year or two).
