Mika Brzezinski accused Trump of taking the GOP “hostage.”

I'd say it differently, Trump is taking charge of the GOP. rightfully so.

Look. Politicians have to be actors and actresses to appeal to a base of voters. The Republican Party needs a diverse base of not only MAGA working class voters by some voters in the so-called knowledge class if it is going to win elections. Cheney is a person who is trying to appeal to the white collar segment, especially women. She may not be my cup of tea, but do we need to vilify her for speaking the language of white collar women? Can the Republican Party form a coalition or is it monolithic and a loser of elections? The white collar conservative leaning voters can’t win an election alone, they need the blue collar voters and vice versa. Is Cheney the enemy? Look what so called pro-business conservative but white collar Governor and Secretary of State did in Georgia: they (legally) rigged the Nov. 2020 election so Trump could not win it. Now the Republican controlled legislature is pretending to pass election reforms to prevent what they intentionally allowed the governor and secretary of state to do in November 2020 to cover their behinds. I’m just asking the question, not a big advocate for Cheney. But do the Republicans need her type?
