I think Covid is a little bit seasonal but to start dropping in January like that? What kind of effed up seasonality is that? And it isn’t exactly cold and snowing in Mumbai right now. It’s 84 degrees at the moment. Brazil is pretty summery too. That’s not typically conducive to virus spread, not if you’re talking about Flu, RSV, Norovirus etc. I’m not sure seasonality is really a big factor for Covid, a small factor maybe. US cases and deaths both started dropping about the time or shortly after we were giving healthcare workers their second dose. I was at the front of the line for dose 1 and I got dose 2 on January 20th, a few hours before Biden was inaugurated. And, also, cases started dropping in April during wave 1-not mid January. Maybe it was the mitigation measures too?
You made good points. I am not a scientist and will not pretend to be and proceed to act bellicose. As an observer, I simply saw U.S. rates going down in January and February. My common sense (which could be flawed) says vaccines could not of had impact with the amount that had taken it and the drop we saw starting in early January. I am not saying the vaccines are useless and that some conspiracy practitioners are trying to kill people - Grin - but who really knows. Anyway, will continue to be hopeful they work. cheers
“I got dose 2 on January 20th, a few hours before Biden was inaugurated”
IMPOSSIBLE! Biden himself told us there was no vaccine before he was inaugurated.
